Mrs. Kalayaan (Mrs. Independence) 2012

Margie Beof Wisotsky is the first ever Mrs. Kalayaan in the Philippine Independence commemorations in New York City, now on its 23rd year. The Mrs. Kalayaan contest was introduced this year as a commemorative event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. (PIDCI), organizer and presenter of the yearly celebrations of Philippine Independence.

Margie and family make their residence in Glendale, Queens, New York. She is married to retired US Marines officer Daniel Paul Wisotsky. They have three children: John, Paul and Desiree.
